Therefore, the main objective for regjeringen.no was to make it easier for most people to locate the information they were looking for. The solution included theme-based entries and use of topic maps. Today, regjeringen.no is a meeting place for the Government, the ministries and an active, well-informed population. The portal has had an average of 700,000 monthly visitors during the first month after launching.

With nearly 70 categories, Website entries make up the majority of Webby Awards Winners, Nominees and Honorees. To be selected among the best is an incredible achievement worthy of praise -- and perhaps a little bragging.Of the nearly 10,000 entries submitted to the 13th Annual Webby Awards, fewer than 15% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work.
In spite of containing enormous amounts of information, visitnorway.com appears as a user-friendly and clear website. Attractions are categorized in a good manner, and it is evident that the developers have been able to put themselves in the users’ place. Developers have dared to decide that some content is more important than other content, and prioritized the design accordingly, which represents a major innovation in websites of this kind.
There is clear, safe and good navigation with topic maps, and the additional information at the bottom of the page makes users independent of the global menu structure. The pages have a rigid and secure layout, airy typography and a very good use of pictures on all levels – which is rarely seen. Even the colour palette is reflected consistently in the pictures. Visitnorway.com is a well-balanced, good looking and successful web solution.
